AFR hydra rev(lifter problems?)
I have an AFR hydra rev that I want to use, but my enginer builder says if I have the right springs I wont need it. He also says that they have been known to eat lifters/cams. Anyone had this problem??

Lets see,, what makes him think that a roller lifter that weighs approximately 50 grams more than a non roller can be made to handle 6500+ rpm with 125lbs of valve spring seat pressure?
I have used it on 2 motors and the only thing I don't like is that it is a pain to install and even more a pain to remove. But, it is worth the trouble.
And what could cause it to make the lifter fail? Maybe on a stock roller lifter. They are not designed to have much over stock spring pressure. They are designed for 100k miles of quiet operation.
The springs are about 60 lbs at max pressure and like 30 on the basecircle.
