Edelbrock Valve Covers

I just purchased a set of Edelbrock Elite Series Valve covers for my 92 RS (V8 TBI)and noticed that the drivers side valve cover only has one hole (front)and my stock one has two (one for oil fill & the other for the PCV). The passenger side valve cover is just like my stock one with one hole. I was wondering if anyone knows where the PCV hose would go in my new valve covers.

Well the Pcv should be on the drivers side. I used the passenger side (which has a grommet that needs removing) for the oil fill. But, I think you will find that the driverside is too tall. The + for the alternator used to touch on the VC.

Get used to pulling the breather or the PCV valve and using a funnel to fill the oil.

Can I re-route the PCV valve to the passenger side valve cover?

When i bought a set of valve covers from them their was a place on the drivers side for the oil cap, but you had to knock it out with a hammer or something. I dont know if yours are the same ones but Apeiron is right. Thats how i fill mine now.

Exactly. You can use the single hole in the driver side cover for the PCV valve as well as the oil fill. It will not hurt a thing doing it this way. Just go slow when you fill the oil through that hole as it likely has a baffle on it to prevent excessive oil soaking of a breather element if it were installed there. The oil won't flow very fast into the engine if it has to go through a baffle setup. I have made that mistake a few times and didn't pay enough attention while adding oil and had it overflow out of the rocker and/or the funnel and go everywhere.... not cool.... .

So heads up ......

I have a set of Edelbrock valve covers and that's what I do. I just pop out the PCV and stick a funnel when I need to add oil.

I would not put the PCV on the passenger side. I aways heard, the rotation of the motor makes it work better on the drivers side.

But, i really never understood the logic with that. It seems to me that the rotation would still allow the air to be sucked in just as effective on the drivers side and expelled on the pass side.

When you think about whats happening, the motor is rotating clockwise. The bottom of the crank and rods are swinging to the left (looking at it) and that is where there is the largest volume (in the bottom of the pan), so i would think the passenger side would be the most effective place that the gas would naturally want to be vented.

Rotation of the motor has nothing to do with PVC placement. Your motor is supplied fresh air into the passenger side valve cover (on tpi motors) from the TB. The PVC (POSITIVE CRANKCASE VENTILATION) valve then allows engine vacuum to pull contaminated air out of the crank case from the opposite side of the engine. If you put it on the same side as the breather, it would not do any good.
