this board is so cluttered with topics that should be on other boards, the moderators just let it go and topics get buried in one day. I think you guys should start locking and moving post to the right board. electronic stuff to electronic board, TPI stuff to the TPI board and so on. I know i have a post on here to do with TPI, i wish i could move it myslef. things like how much oil, that size pistons do i need etc should be on here. Posts like what oil filter is the best belong in the 1st board, what is an L69 engine belong on the hist/resto board, Cold Start TPI belong on the TPI board and motor swaps....well duh. i love to see a crack down on this. Also becuase you guys let this happen people don't visit the other boards nearly as much.

I think the main reason alot of people post everything here, is because this is one of the most visited topic. iv posted many threads in other topics wich probably weren't even viewed and were never answered. i post them here and i have a response and usualy a solution within a few hours. and i don't always check the electrical boards etc. so i think we should all (if we don't) start checking the other topics more frequently so that what camaro6spd can happen. and we will give our excellent moderators a break, because they do deserve one.

Chill out Camaro6speed. It's alright. This is definately the best message board on the net for 3rd gens. Hands Down.

I think the moderators do a good job moving topics from here to there and so on. As far as info on an L69, most people don't want to restore their L69, they just want to know what it is and so on. So, I personally feel this is a good place for those types of questions.

Besides, I like coming to the General Automotive section because you run across a little of everything.

yes, i agree, but have you looked around and sen what has happened to the other boards. You post something on there and it taks days for people to replay because people don't go there as often to post and if there are no posts then there are no replys, and people get stuck in this message board. It wouldn't really matter if all the other boards were deleted because the vast majority of us use this sole board. I am trying to post in other boards, i think evenyone should make an effort to do so too and the moderators should force this if people continue to post in here so undiscrimintily(spelling!).

 

as a rule i only move a post if it isn't getting answered, if it has a nswer i leave it alone. it's a little time concuming to reply to a post then go back and move it. also i can move a post and NOT lock it on this board, so a post may apperar on 2 or more boards. if i move one and lock it i always reply to let the poster know it was moved.you're right there are several post that don't belong on this board or need locked
