If it doesn't have any of the tell tale smells like coolant or oil, then it may be just condensation that gets into the exhaust system while it sits. Then on startup it just blows it out, and when the exhaust actually gets hot the rest is evaporated. This is why it has to sit for awhile and let the exhaust cool, and moisture to collect in the exhaust.

Are you sure it's not oil?

If it's white, its probably oil. Mine does it, too. Most old engines seem to... everyone I've ever asked acts like that's just life and you have to deal with a little oil seepage unless you want to rebuild it...

Anyone know any simple potential fixes for this? Or do you really have to get jiggy with a rebuild to fix it?

Sounds like the classic 'oil leaking past the valve seals' to me..... The guides also tend to get worn out over time and sometimes actually cause the seals to go.... either way, better quality valve seals should take care of it.

Hey if I yank the heads and have a valve job done will this do anything to the bottom end?? It has 125000 miles but runs strong. or just take and do a rebuild on the motor

oil will huff bright blue, coolant will be white, sounds to me like its just condensation in the pipes, most all cars are like that

Barring Coolant or condensation in the exhaust if you have a TH350 it could be auto
trany fluid being sucked up throu the vacuum modulator line into the intake. A blown modulator diaghram will do this.
