rear main seal

It shows in the GM manual for 86 that it is one piece, but through a search it shows there were some two piece for 86? I need to know so I can order parts for a rebuild. Please help me!

The chances of it being a 2-piece seal (if its the original block) are somewhere between slim and none. I used to sell parts and I never came across an 86 that was a 2-piece rear seal.
Easy to verify, see if theres an aluminum housing at the back of the block next to the flywheel. If so, its a one piece. Its usually painted black so you may have to take a close look.
