Dead 91 RS

I could use a little help. My 91 RS just died. No power to anything except heaqdlights. Gauges dont work, neither does the horn or warning buzzer. Changed the battery same prob. Happened while I was driving. V.A.T.S./ECM?

Have you checked the altenator. A car dying while driving is usually a sign of an alt. gone bad. Check it out.

Fuseable link? Have you check that yet. Check all the wires that are near the starter. I'm sure you have checked the fuses.

Be sure to check ALL of your fuses and as mentioned, fuseable links are always a good place to check.

Maybe check the negative cable + see if you have a good ground.

Thanks guys for the insight. First thing I checked was all the fuses and fusible links. Changed out the computer box alternator, battery same problem. Had it diagnosed, and ran a hot wire to the vats everything works but vats fuse keeps blowing so there is a short in the vats. Anyone know how to bypass the vats altogether? I appreciate the help, and this site has been a lifesaver.
