The Camaro ain't gone forever...

Hey guys, I just got the latest issue of Popular Hot Rodding Magazine. In it's Speed Reading section, theres an article called, It's Official: Camaro/Firebird Dead, apparently discussing how the F-bodies will be out of production. However the last sentence states something to think about. I'll quote it, "What now? We say look for a Camaro comeback in a small, yet still rear-drive platform, in 2004." So maybe the Camaro isn't gone forever.

In my opinion, Camaro's we're here are here and will always be here. What other car could, if any, take the place of the Camaro? Ford pony will not have anymore comp.!! I know one thing though, I gots mine!!

This has been discussed several times, I think mainly on the appearance board, if you want to check up on it. There are many rumors floating around that it will come back like the Impala, but we'll just have to wait.

I think a lot of the problem is G.M. wanting to close the factory in Quebec, and not having another factory to build it in. As long as pick ups and suv's outsell cars, G.M. is going to bias their production that way. Once the suv fad dies, if they have factories under used and sales down, expect them to try something new. If Mustangs sell like crazy, expect G.M. to try to compete.

Yeah, I am sad that there gone, but when I go out and look at mine, I couldn't care less. I think that the thrid gen is the best anyway.

Our cars are a good decade (at least!) away from current events. That the Camaro is going and/or coming effects thirdgen Camaros not in the least, so why discuss it here?

GM's execs are a punch of pieces of ****s that have begun to not give a **** about quality, technology, comfort, build quality or customer service. All they do is run advertisments, buyout smaller car companies, and rely on their past greatness to make a buck. The 4th gen is one of the only great cars GM still makes, even with that, I dont know of a foreign company that makes a car with a rearend stressed to the limit straight off the showroom floor. Add about 100hp and slicks and you'll soon be pulling the rearend. I cant wait to graduate college so I can get into the loop and make an american car company that will make its roots in the citizens of the performance marketplace and never offer a car not worthy of production. The big car companies are to bulky and cost prohibitive to make profitable supercars save the 'vette.

OK I'm done venting.

there is a new executive that may be in the f-bodies interest... I beleive that the f-body will start to be built along side the vette in Bowlling Green Kentuky after they get the tooling and the new design in order... (just a theory I have)

I have owned 67 ss350,68 327,70 350/4spd,3 71s,a 72 73 and a74Z/28 and one 71 formula I now own an 80 Z/28 and an 86 T/A just sold the other 86 T/A and junked an 86 camaro and these were just the f bodies.I fool around with trd gen because thats whats out there but if you ask me they are junk with all the mods like sfc,s roll cages weird exhaust sys just to be able to handle 350 hp without self destructing and trannys that couldn't handle a briggs and stratton, rear ends made for vegas, fuel systems that require a second mortgage to modify and more rattles than a daycare it was time to bury them and start all over.If they do make another my hope would be that they hire NASCAR builders and make a real car,not a car for someone who wears bra and panties
