Engine dies then will not start
I have a 86 trans am with a 305 tpi and it ran fine earlier in the day but I went to start it this afternoon it started and ran for a few seconds then died and tried to start it again and cranked on it for 10 seconds and it almost started a few times. I waited a few minutes and tried again and it started and ran fine for a few seconds and died again.
I don't know what to do and any suggestions would be helpful.

I just tried to start it again and it started and I pumped the throttle and I can keep it running and soon as I quit pumping the throttle it will idle up and then shut off.

Check your fuel pressure when it's doing this. Also watch the fuel pressure after you turn the engine off (or after it dies out).

I have a AFPR and when its running it has 50psi and after it shuts off it slowly falls off to 20psi and stays there.
