Water in oil... but I'm holding 45psi oil pressure???
Ok, I just started up my new engine today for the first time, oil pressure guage said 45psi oil pressure but it appears there's water in the oil. The oil that came up through the heads looks a little runny so I pull the oil dipstick and the oil on there isn't real runny but has just a very very very light milky streak in it. I'm positive the block isn't cracked and I'm pretty sure the heads aren't cracked but not positive. Also at one point in filling up the radiator with water, I noticed that I left the hose to the thermostat housing undone and hanging right over the freaking head. It appeared some water got on the head but it didn't look like much. Is it possible more water than I thought got on there and just drained into the oil drain back holes?? The oil has to be changed after I break the cam in so do you think it'll be ok to run what's in there to break in the cam... as long as I'm holding 45 psi that is??? I really hope these heads aren't cracked.

It possible that you may have lost more water than you think in the head when you spilled it out of the hose.
DO NOT run an engine with any water in it at all...water is the devil, and coolant is a corrosive, it eats the bearings.
I would change the oil before I went any further and try again, keeping an eye out for any more waa waa in the oil. If none comes back, you'll all good

Well there's no coolant in the radiator, just water... so I'm hoping no damage has been done thus far. I'll drain the oil and change the oil and filter and see what happens. *fingers crossed*
