How's your radiator cap? It might not be holding pressure too well and letting some steam out when the car warms up.

Are you refering to a coolant leak? Is your radiator/overflow tank completely full? If not then it is a coolant leak, and I would look at the radiator to make sure there isnt a leak in that...and also the little black valve thing (looks like a UFO with a cylinder sticking out from the bottom of it) Its right above the passenger side valve cover. I think its called a heater valve or something. Then look at your hoses and water pump.

You know, I keep hearing about this UFO lookin' thing.. someone also referred to it as a tophat. I still can't figure out what it is. I must have gotten rid of mine when I dumped the AIR stuff because I got one hose from the heater core going directly to the radiator and the other hose going directly to the TB. Interesting.

Not every car came with the little heater valve thing he's described. I don't think it really does that much, so.. *shrug* heh

The heater control valve keeps the coolant from circulating through the heater core while the A/C is on.

The doors isolate the core from the A/C passages, but there still is alot of heat there.

If the heater core has hot coolant going through it, the A/C will not work as good.

yeah thats the thing...and on mine....you could see at the very bottom of the cylinder where it was leaking...ended up being a pretty bad leak....ended up to where when my dad lifted it slightly to look at it...the plastic crumbled and hot coolant went all over the place...luckily I pushed him out of the way...he still got some under his arm and back...left some scars.
