Cam question, HELP PLZ

Hi I hope someone can help me. I am currently rebuilding my 305 TPI from a 91RS and I am confused on what cam I should get. I want a cam that will be emissions legal and computer compatible, but also have a power band of 1000-5000 rpm....

I really can't find a cam for 305's just 350's. I still want to have low end torque but gain some top end power.

Here is what has been modded to the engine:

305 bored .020
Ported intake
52in TB
Adjustable fuel pressure regulator
SR Torquer Heads
Complete MSD Ign.
3in exhaust headers back

Any and all help appreciated THX

Any cam that is made for a 350 will physically fit into a 305. The difference is you will want one that doesn't have as much lift and duration. Low duration is what will keep your powerband in the lower rpm range. Make sure you get a hydraulic roller cam, not a hydraulic cam. Roller cams are the expensive ones that say '87 and later. Comp Cams makes one with .480 .487 lift and 206 212 duration that would work well with your setup.
