looking for setups similar to mine to compare gas mileage with

i have a 350 stock short block w/ stock centerbolt heads (dont know what casting) a comp 262 xtreme cam, performer intake and edelbrock 600 carb. i get a ****ty 165 miles per tank. anyone w/ similar setups care to share??? oh btw i have my timing set at 6 or 8 degrees w/ plenty of mechanical and vacuum advance, so i dont think theres a problem there. though i have never actually observed what my total curve was...

I have the exact same setup as you, except with edelcrock headers and 3" catback exhaust.

Driving 80% city/20% highyway, I get around the same mileage as you - although I live on the BC coast which is quite mountainous, alot of steep hills and what not. Gotta love the 3.73's for that action.

On the highway, I snag about 20-21 miles to the gallon, cruising at 70mph, spinning close to 2,700RPM.

Yeah, its crappy mileage.

Later,
Hype.
