remove ac accumulator
remove upper half of ac box
remove lower half of ac box
remove ac evaporator core (inside box)
remove blower motor from old box and install on new box
install new box to firewall

I do belive you are going to have a large hole in the firewall that the ac delete box will not cover. You will either have to weld a plate or attach a piece of metal with some sheet metal screws to cover the hole.

This is a very basic version of how to do it but it will get the idea across.

The box will cover everything. You will not have any holes. For the box I would remove all the 10MM bolts holding it on from around the outside. THEN. You have to go in the car under the dash and remvove the 2 10mm bolts holding it on from inside behind the carpet by the by the passengers feet.

I just removed mine. It took less than 15 min. and I was surprised how easy it was. Just follow what Mkos1980 said. Instead of an A/C delete box, I used sheet metal and some caulking to seal it up. It's functional, but if you are going for looks, you might still want the box.

is the A/C working? if yes, i would just leave it. i regret very much taking mine out.

btw the A/C blower fan is too big for the delete box. u'll have to get a shorter fan from another GM product.

I havent had AC in the car for the last couple of years...it did work fine but when I did all the other work on the engine I took off the AC motor and lines and was left with what you see...yeah sometimes I wish I had AC but oh well.....I just want to remove whats left....the delete box I got off EBAY comes complete with working motor and resistor....so I wont have a problem with the fan size.....

I just want to have as much room as I can....cause sometimes I have to tighten the header bolts and with the box out of the way I have alot more room...

I figured this isnt a luxury car so I will just have to deal with it...LOL

I fab'ed up a half inch spacer to go between the fan motor and the heater box and got some longer screws from Lowes.
