dd2000 head flow file question

on dd2000, i see people with screen shots of their heads listed in the head flow slot, how-where do i get these on line and are they close to real? id like to put mine in there instead of stock with big valves and porting...

people usually get their flow charts online from somewhere.. and then input them into the program. the program does not calculate your flow.

I made my head flow file right in DD2000 using the numbers off the flowchart that my shop handed me after flowing them

People need to stop posting that BS, and start posting RWHP dyno sheets...

C'mon Brody

DD is a good tool to estimate what a combo may produce. You can't dyno a ton of combos back to back as easily as you can with a few clicks of the mouse. DD allows you to dial in a good combo before you go to the dnyo to validate it. DD is a good way to graps performance trends with certian grinds of cams and head styles. It can save you a lot of money in the long run and help you reach a specific power goal.

right, because so many people post DD numbers instead of real dyno numbers. relax. its just another tool to use in the engine building process.

DD is a great tool for seeing how a particular combo will work as stated, it's a great tool for seeing power curves and how certian changes affect it.

I will say that I wish they had more real world specs like for my 416 heads.

However, DD is just math. You can not argue against math, there is no way. DD has outrageous numbers because they are being calculated assuming a 100% perfect condition, no power robbing acessories, all setup and tuned perfectly, etc.

Math is math, dont fight it. DD is not real world however, so I wish people would stop using it in place of a real dyno.

Does anyone know where to get DD spec files? I dont know enough to fill in all the info myself

Go here and look for the 081/416 links, both stock and ported.
