92 350 Lifter Valley ?

ok this is my first post 86 motor build so be gentle. just obtained a 92 350 tpi motor less tpi. motor will be carbed. this is the first time being in a hyd roller block. not sure whats missing ? there are 3 bolt holes down the middle of the lifter valley, what are they for ? (valley pan) ? is there suppose to be any thing else associated with the lifters or do they just sit in there like old hyd lifters. if some one has pic of their build less intake or a detail drawing it would be appriciated. thanks.

Or hit a junkyard

You'll need the lifters too; you can get those from a parts store, speed shop, etc. etc.

Nice thing about factory hydraulic roller lifters is they don't have to be new. As long as they haven't been abused, they can be cleaned up and reused.

If you can't find all this stuff on the TGO classifieds, I would be shocked.

I have 85K on my lifters. I took them all apart and their was almost no buildup. A nice bath for them and they were all set. BUT I did find one lifter that had a crack from the bottom up to the roller wheel. I bought a new one for 6 bucks to replace that one.

thats my delima, motor was recently rebuilt with new cam that i want to reuse but half the lifters, hold down plate, push rods and those eyeglass looking things that hold lifters in place were gone. so yes im in search of lifters and all that stuff. is it allright to use used roller lifters with used cam even though they werent used together? or just get new lifters ? i was planning on spending most of my cash on heads but that will be a whole new thread

Yes, as long as the lifters are in good shape. The lifters and cam don't need to be broken in together, as with flat tappet.

FWIW - In case you're hunting, those "eyeglass looking things" are often referred to as "dogbones" and the spring that retains them is called a "spider". That's not factory nomenclature, but what the aftermarket has frequently called them.

Using old rollers is just fine so long as the rollers are intact and axles are not worn.
