oil pan problem

Engine: 383 STROKER TPI
Transmission: TH-700-R4
Axle/Gears: 3.23
OIL PAN PROBLEM ANY SUGESTIONS PLZ
hey guys i have a problem with a 1999 chevy silverado with a 4.3L
the oil pan is aluminum and it will not come off the damn engine all the bolts are out its just stuck there and i have pried on it with a bar and hit it with a 3pound hammer what should i do any suggestions plus that year gm put some kind of glue on both sides of the gaskets dumb idea

Since this could be a problem with just about any vehicle, I would maybe use a metal scraper and try to tap it in between block and pan all around. Maybe heat the scraper up to melt any old RTV or gasket which was used.

There's another saying, "If it seems like there's still a bolt holding it on, there probably is."
I know zip, nil, nada, about that engine. But, I'd say you need to look harder before you break something. It may be "glued", I really don't know.

part is, "3rd gen topics only, please." (It at least has to be 3rd gen relate-able.)
