Bogging/popping off idle...

Hey, I know this is probably "engine tuning 101" so forgive me but the search isn't working...

I was driving my L98 equipped IROC the other day and decided to "gun it" at a light (no, I wasn't street racing). I didn't actually floor it--probably gave about 75% throttle. When I did that, however, I heard a pop come from the engine bay and it took off very slowly for as much throttle as I was giving it. I imagine that's a backfire through the intake.

What's the mostly likely culprit for this?

Thanks!

I'd say you are running lean, probably due to low fuel pressure but possibly due to a bad sensor as well. I'd recommend changing the fuel filter, then see if it happens again. If so, check fuel pressure then move on to the sensors if it checks out good.
