anyone using summits roller rockers
they are like 6.50 a piece and I was wondering what brand they really are because summit does not make there own stuff. at least I do not think they do.

I have them on my motor and haven't had a problem with them. I'm not sure of the brand but I think in the future I am going to go with a different manufacturer because of some slop in the fulcrum. But in retrospect I have been running my engine for a year without a problem and last night I just finished my HSR setup and it dyno'd at 404ft-lbs and 407hp with no problems.

sweet.
I was looking around at the pictures in the summit page and they look like crane lifters. what did you mean "because of some slop in the fulcrum".
Are you using the stock lifter link bars.

hmmm. what I mean is that once on the studs and the valve lash is set the rockers still move side to side a little bit on the valve tip. We have a set of Harland Sharps on our drag car and there is no slop in them at all. And I am using the stock lifter link bars.

lol, well I got mine used but I think you should save up just a tiny bit more and get the better ones...they are not cranes. But you will get what you paid for just remember that, a motor is not the place to settle on less than the best parts.

I see similar looking rocker arms at a few ebay stores and they are listed as "elgin" rocker arms. I did purchase a set of roller tip rockers on ebay that are identical to comp cams roller tips for less than half the price. Make sure that you get self centering rockers if you have a roller cam motor.
