Key won't turn
Key won't turn
Ok so heres the story:
I had my car in storage for winter and was trying to start it up. At first it worked fine. Then, i turned off the car and tried to start it up again but my key wouldn't turn all the way. Now, it does turn to the accessories position, but not to the actual RUN or START position (that would actually allow the engine to start). I have no idea why this happened and would appreciate any possible problems and/or ways of fixing it. Thank you.
BTW..i have an 89 firebird formula 350...
Thank you.
Oh...the engine does absolutely nothing...no cranking, no starting..nothing...but if i boost the battery lights and stuff turn on. no engine activity at all.
Thank you in Advance.

You'll likely find a problem in the lock cylinder. Try injecting some graphite owder, and working the cylinder with the key to free it up (gently).
There may also be a problem with the steering lock plate pin and linkage. Whatever you find, it will likely be at the top end of the steering column.
