NEW TFS heads - sensor holes too big, common?

I've got a new pair of TFS heads just installed and the holes tapped/threaded on each cyl head for the fan switch and the temp sensor I think? are just slightly bigger than needed.

Anyone experienced this before?
Just curious if it's common and what method used to get those suckers in.
Thanks!

The sensor holes are the correct size.

For applications before about 76.

Somewhere around there, they changed them from ½" pipe, to 3/8" pipe.

Go to the hardware store and get a brass bushing from the plumbing section.

Also, the temp gauge sender for an earlier-model application, will work fine; something like, say, a 69 Chevelle 350. I can't think of anything that had a fan switch that size though.

Well that's interesting and odd.
You would think if they advertise the heads for 87-95, etc. they would have the correct size holes.
So 2 brass bushings and I'm all set huh?
Thanks for the info.
