Charcoal canister removal

Block off the vent line to the tank and run a vented gas cap? Is it that simple? There's SO much info and debate, and the search offers up WAY too much to read.

....just looking for opinons here......

I was thinking about removing mine last year, but the general concensus at that time was to just leave it...but some people did say you could just use a vented gas cap....although the gasoline "system" and tubing isn't something i really wanted to play with...i thought I'd just leave well enough alone in that area.

I tend to agree. As much as I don't like it, I DO like leaving well enough alone sometimes.

I've done a pretty good job of rerouting vaccum lines anyway. It's not too bad now.

I also did some extensive reasearch on the above mentioned post, I came up with many negative and some positive responses, so I decided to leave my cannister and re-route the carb hose.

I put a cheapo import fuel filter on the line, instead of capping it, right at the rear left shock area. then left the cap alone.

If you have TPI, no harm will come from removing it except a mild decrease in fuel economy. This coming from experience.
