I have a 67rs Camaro with a 88 350 TPI with mass air.
One of the heads is cracked. So I need to replace it. I am completely stock with the TPI other than SLP runners and roller rockers. I'm going for fuel economy with some power. The current heads are the 081s (14101081)
I can only find re-manufactured 187s like these.
eBay Motors: REBUILT CHEVY 305 CYLINDER HEADS FREE SHIPPING (item 8055874274 end time Apr-21-06 18:27:13 PDT)
What do you think?
Keep looking?

Yes; DEFINITELY keep looking. The 187s will cost you ALOT of power.
081s aren't THAT hard to find. They came on 87-up LG4 and 305 TPI motors in Camaro/Firebird, and 87-up LG4 and L69 in Monte Carlos. Look around locally, they're usually not too scarce.

081s have 58cc chambers; 083s have 64cc chambers. Put 083s on that "350"
, your CR will suffer greatly.
You know of course that 081s didn't come on 350s.... they only come on one motor size..... how much you want to bet that your block casting # is 627 and not 638?

Well good then!! Too many people have been tricked into paying 350 prices for 305s. Gotta be one of the most common scams there is. A motor with 305 heads on it, is HIGHLY UNLIKELY to be anything but a 305.
638 is the typical L98 block.

The 187s will not cost you much if any HP. I swapped a pair of heavily ported 081s for a pair of stock 187s as well as went back to stock exhaust manifolds from headers. With those changes I lost around 30 RWHP on a 305 that started out at about 270 RWHP. The stock 187s were still capable of 240 RWHP with a very mild cam, and cast iron exhaust manifolds.

It sounds like way to much trouble. Just sale the car to me and let me deal with the headache. Im joking of course but use the swirl ports. Most people on this site have just heard these heads suck so they never tried to use them for power. But for what your using them for, they are good heads.

For door stops.
Don't pay money for them. They are GARBAGE for performance.Wait for some 081s to show up. The 187s would be a SUBSTANTIAL downgrade.
I just got back from vacation. I picked up a set of rebuilt 081 heads from a reputable machine shop. I paid $250 for the pair. 3 angle valve job, new springs and keepers magnafluxed and dipped. Look good to me. Thanks for the help guys! The first gen site was no help.
