Making an A/C system...
I took the A/C system out of my car some time ago now.
What components would i be looking at to add a very simplistic a/C system?
-a/c compressor
-lines
-accumulator
-condensor
-dryer
I think i have that all down, but to the complicated part, i still have the "hot/cold" lever in the car for a/c and the a/c heater box and all.
I cut that wiring harness out with the ECM harness, so the liklyness of me being able to assemble it again, are slim to none. No biggie, i can wire up a flit switch for a/c to engage the compressor right?
what would be complications with this, and has anyone done it?
thanks

The wiring is the easiest part of the whole deal.
The A/C harness is its own completely separate harness assembly, it shares no wires whatsoever with any other harness. It even comes with the little vacuum lines you need, to feed vacuum into the passenger compartment to work all the little doors, and to carry the vacuum "supply" to the heater control valve, if the car has one. The harness goes through the firewall in its own little rubber grommet, separate from everything else.
It's a no-brainer. Just go to the buzzard and gank one out of another car, and be done with it. No sense in beating your brains out trying to re-invent the wheel when it's so easy to just do it right.
