i have a aluminum intake with a rochester 2bbl carb,thought to be from a 78-79 camaro 305,on my '70 350 my Qjet has major problems,can i just swap the intakes and carbs??the 2bbl may be a little better on gas also,don't really need a big 4bbl on the truck anyway

 

Yea you can drop it on there without a problem. so long as its SB-SB not something off a BB...

 

changed valve covers from the chrome ones that came on it to some stockers off the same 305 that the intake came off,the older 350 isn't charcoal canistered or any smog stuff period,but the 305 intake has vac ports and EGR provisions and something i've not seen b4,it's a tube that curls down into the intake galley and comes back thru the manifold as a long tube,must be some sort of vacuum port or something,i don't remember having anything hooked to it in the past?but it's been off a running motor for years
