Car stumbling and dieing after reaching operating temps
Fresh 383 with a 650cfm Edelbrock.
Fuel pressure consistent and at 5psi timing set at 10 degrees advance with full timing kicked in by 3000k rpm. Car runs fine, starts and revs up great until it hits about 150degrees. I seem to have good vacuum, and can't find any vacuum leaks. I can keep the car running by giving it a little gas when it starts to come about, but always starts to idle back down and stumble then eventually die.. I need some guidance as to where to go with this one!

Idle problem
How close do your fuel lines get to your exhaust, you could be getting vapor lock of your fuel. You may want to try upping your fuel pressure to 6 or 7psi. Also have you tried adjusting your idle set screw on the carb.

If it was to vapor lock, could you still gas it to get it to rev up and would pressure stay constant? I'm not sure of the symptons of a car that is experiencing the problem would be, but the lines shouldn't be getting that hot.

Watch the fuel pressure when it's up to temp and see if that has anything to do with it. If it's constant, it's not vapor locking.
The choke is pulling off, correct?

I'm going to verify choke this evening when I get home from work. Right now the electric choke isn't even hooked up. Is it possible that it's causing the problem even though it should be open all the time due to it not being hooked to a power source?
