ok well i just got an iron duke car for free so i thought what the hey. i am having some troubles with getting it started. it will start up the run for about 3 seconds then die. i can give it gas but the it runs really rough but the smooths out and will run fine after that. if it dies it has some trouble restarting it just cranks over and dosn't start till you let it sit for a while? any ideas on whats causing this. I got new plugs, gaped them, new air filter and checked all the wires. what else could be causing this. It is a TB car and i don't have a tuner either. any help?

 

check the fuel pressure, make sure the pump is running. Also, when it dies, verify spark. If none, it is ignition related... not sure of the particulars of the iron duke engine. If you want a very good iron-duke specific section try - S10Forum.com. The old s10's are Iron dukes.
