IN TROUBLE....
Alright, new ignition components, set my spark timing at correct mark, REPLACED IAC motor, REPLACED fuel pump relay, WHY IS MY CAR STILL RUNNING BAD?
I would start my car and it would sit real low at 300 rpm and shake. As soon as I hit the gas the rpm sits at normal and the car runs fine. Then after 10 mins, the rpm sits at 1300-1500 (tooo high). SOO then, I took the car for a drive and suddenly the car slowed down and the gas pedal got really hard. If I tryed to speed up, the engine would make a big poping noise (backfire??) and wouldnt allow me to accellerate. . Then a miracle struck me. My engine light finally came on and I was anxious to see what it would say... and it said code 33... MAF code.
Is my MAF sensor toast? Is what I described above symptoms of a broken MAF sensor? I want to make sure before I spend $200 on a new one. What do you guys think?
