hmmm, yea the bottom is definately pressed but the cam gear shouldnt be...
I would try giving it a little love tap with a rubber mallet or the like and see what happens. it should have fell into your hands when you pulled out the 3 bolts...

Nah, mine went on the same way...difficult. I wouldn't hit it with a hammer. I had to turn the gear set back and forth litle bit to find the sweet spot where they are loose. Basically, there is a little gap between the teeth and when they run/turn, it meshes and presses to one side more. If you can turn the gear a little bit...not much, itll slide right off. If its too much, I guess you can pry and hammer on it, as long as youre dumping it I guess.

I got it out guys......it was just on there real tight..the little button on the end of the cam had a good hold on it....thanks!

Im just curious..how is this thing timed? there are no marks on the gears...only one way to put them on....so how would you set the gears up...just get it at TDC and put them on...how would you advance or retard?

which means what? I could have used the gear drive?...do you know of anyone using a gear drive in a computer controlled car? and it not affecting the knock sensor? if I knew for sure!.....hell I would just put it back on but then again I would rather be more sure about a regular double roller...noise of a gear drive would probably get to me after a while.
