retro-fit roller

I have a non-roller block and I would like to go with a roller cam. Would a retro-fit roller cam and roller lifters do? What else would I need to convert to a roller cam.

Retrofit roller cam, retrofit roller lifters, thrust button for the timing set, and new pushrods.

I have a new double roller timing chain for a non-roller block, would I be able to use it or would I need another style chain?

I was just going to suggest getting an actual roller block rather than trying to retrofit. Hey, they're cheap.

I retro fitted a non-roller block on my last build and will never do it again! I guess it really depends on the use of the car but if you don't plan on it being an every day driver you don't need the roller cam. Sure better ramp rates, smoother operation, and less valve train friction is nice but remember, guys made plenty of power before this was an option and they still do today. Save your money, use a non-roller cam, and buy yourself a turbo. Trust me, you will be a lot happier that way. I know I would have been.

I have a roller block in my T/A but it has 150k miles on it. I also have a non-roller block with 20K on it. I was gonna put a roller cam it it and have it ready to go in when the stock motor dies. then I'll use the roller block and maybe I build a 396 or something if I don't sale it

thanks for the info everyone

TraviZ don't worry the Iroc is still getting its turbo genIII
