how many wires should go to the o2 sensor

how many wires should go to the o2 sensor

i found a lose wire that had pulled out of a connector hanging down by the passenger exhaust thought may be for the o2 sensor but could not get under far enough to tell if not o2 than any ideas

1 Plug 1 wire as far as I know.
Some have an extension for the o2 so it might be a couple of plugs.

Strange, My o2 is on the drivers side, but I have a pontiac! Should still be only 1 wire though.

i dont think it is to the o2 sensor it lookedto be pluged up now what

Do you have anything that isn't working? Like air conditioning or fan speed?
First I would check the wire with a continuity tester with the key off and see if it's hot and then with the key on. Check for a knock sensor on the side of your block also.
