Stalling and erratic RPM at idle

Hello All,

Hoping someone can help. Cars costing too much at the mechanics. Maybe I can fix.
I've got a '91 Camaro with a TBI, 8 cyl, 5.0 L.
I had a fuel pump and filter put in since I couldn't get the car to start.
Now it runs but, it has stalled a few times just suddenly and also at a turn. It doesn't sputter, just cuts out. The pump and filter were tested twice and they're fine.
Also, the RPM's have been running mostly high at 10,000 to 15,000 during idle, and later will be low at 600. Maybe these are related issues.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

I don't have any experience with TBI...

but when my TPI motor was stalling and idling poorly, it turned out to be a bad Idle Air Control (IAC) sensor.

I believe TBI motors have these, but I'm not positive.

If they do, I would check mine to see if it is compressed and/or full of "gunk".

Hope this helps.

Best of luck!
