When you set your timing, was the timing mark pretty solid, or did it fluctuate? If it was solid, your distributor bushing isn't the problem. The only thing you didn't mention replacing was the fuel pressure regulator. It's worth checking the fuel pressure to see if maybe the diaphram went bad. It probably wouldn't hurt to change that pesky fuel filter while you're at it. soem other ideas would be, check the cat to make sure it isn't glowing red and therefore restricted. Check the trans fluid. A faulty coil could also cause your problem. The filter under your EVAP canister can also rob you of some torque if it's dirty. It did that on my T/A, which wouldn't break the 16's loose. After I changed it, she roasted the treads just fine. Hope that helps.

what about this idea...today i changed the fuel pressure regulator...i noticed that all the bolts were only slightly tight on the manifold so it is obvious that someone was inthere before...duh..they put bigger injectors in..is it possible that there could be 1 or more injector plugs plugged into the wrong number injector.....would that explain why, that in order to have any power i need to have my timing set at 12degrees advance instead of the 6 its suposed to be...if so how do i tell which ones if any are plugged into the wrong one
----------
i cheked everyhting you said to check even the evap canister....i just bypassed it all to gether..didnt seam to make a difference...the injectors were replaced before i got hte car.....and no on the prom replacment.....but still the car doesnt even go fast...i checked my 0-60 today..and it was about 11.5 seconds...my 98 expedition witha 4.3l is faster....i raced a limo the othernight and it messed me up.

A car can also be slow to accelerate if the torque converter has gone bad. If the car acts alright after it gets moving, it probably is the torque converter, so get it to a shop. Tell the technician the symptoms, does it happen when the car is cold or hot, when you accelerate, just starting off or any peculiar noises. A quick and accurate diagnosis saves you money. Gauges can also be used to check hydraulic control pressures that operate servos and clutches that engage gears for shifting. Just a thought, but you might want to have it checked out. I would think that you would have serious idle problems if the injectors were not firing correctly.

Im not much for the EFI setups but i dont think it really matters which plug went to what injector as long as all the injectors on the pass side come off that sides harness and same for the drivers side, the TPI fires just 2 banks does it not?

Just a dumb Q, but did you unplug the EST connector when you set the timing?

With your MAF, does the engine seem to have an RPM limiter on it?? Also try unplugging the MAF to see if you get more power out of the engine, if you do it maybe to a broken wire in the MAF

no limiter...just splotchy accel and slow 0-60 about 12 seconds....i unpluged it and it ran just a slight bit better...but not a real difference.....when i plugged it back in it was a 17 sec 0-60 im so tired of this car...
