CAM LIFT/dir.

what is a good cam lift and dir. for a stock 305 carb 2 start with im planning on doin heads, intake, carb, headers..but i got to get a lil money and will a timing chain help 2

The Comp XE256 is known to be a very good cam for an otherwise mostly stock LG4, especially one with the stock gears and converter. That's what I'd recommend.

They make that cam for about every motor. Including that one, as well as SBC.

thanks do u no a good intake and heads,headers,carb (wut cfm) that will go good with that cam that is kinda cheap

One of the common intakes around here is the edelbrock air gap, now if you like to try and keep things of matching brand grab a 600cfm edelbrock carb (though their a bit of a PITA!) and i believe a drop base air cleaner is required if your using stock hood and the air gap manifold..

For the headers that depends on what your going to do with the exhaust and what your emissions requirements are(air tubes etc).

my exhaust is 3.5in flowmaters wit 4in tips and a shyty cat(coming off)i got a holley air fitler 14x3 and thees no emissions on the car of in florida so wut cheap header do u prefer thanks
