new headders smoking
Is it common for brand new headders to smoke? I don't have the exhaust hooked up yet but there is smoke intermittently coming from both headers, a strong burning smell not like combustion. The headders definately aren't touching anything. It never does this at idle sometimes when I give it gas. Thanks!

I haven't actually driven it yet with them on, but had it running in the driveway for about 10 min. & they were still smoking away. But was just wondering.

Yea, give it a few days. That paint will burn off, and you'll want to paint them with some real high temp paint. If it is high temp paint, then it's just curing.
If you can't see any plastic or anything burning, you're ok. And yea, it smells just god-awful.
