do the EOIC method. Search on it. I know sofakingdom mentioned how to do it recently, like within 2 weeks or so.

One way to do it, you would have to mark the dampner 90 degrees, 180 degrees, and 270 degrees (it doesn't have to be perfectly marked). By starting with #1TDC you would adjust the cylinder that has just fired before it (#2) the intake valve, since the cylinder will be getting ready to open the exhaust valve. The cylinder after (#8) will have just had the intake valve open, so the exhaust valve would be adjusted. Zero lash is where the pushrod just stops moving up and down as you turn the nut, and then the additional turn. some people like a 1/4 turn, some half turn, some 1 whole turn. I like a half turn and see how it sounds.
here's the pattern:
#1TDC #2 INT #8 EXH
#8TDC #1 INT #4 EXH
#4TDC #8 INT #3 EXH
#3TDC #4 INT #6 EXH
#6TDC #3 INT #5 EXH
#5TDC #6 INT #7 EXH
#7TDC #5 INT #2 EXH
#2TDC #7 INT #1 EXH
here's the pattern:
#1TDC #2 INT #8 EXH
#8TDC #1 INT #4 EXH
#4TDC #8 INT #3 EXH
#3TDC #4 INT #6 EXH
#6TDC #3 INT #5 EXH
#5TDC #6 INT #7 EXH
#7TDC #5 INT #2 EXH
#2TDC #7 INT #1 EXH
