...

You've got a chance in my opinion. They are VERY heavy compared to a 3rd gen. October '05 issue of HMM lists curb weight at a whopping 4,251 lbs. Don't know about the SRT8 version w/ the 6.1 litre Hemi but the 5.7 is only available w/ a auto. The SRT8 runs low 13's at 109-110 mph.

You will get dusted...smoked...annihilated. Unless you want to be embarrassed by a luxury car, don't even try it.

How do I know? I have an '06 300C as a demo (I'm the sales manager for a Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep store), and it will almost keep up with my Z28. A carbed 350, with or without a cam, I don't think keeps up with an LT1. No offense, but these 5.7 Hemis are pure evil, and run high 13s. I love 'em

Simply calling a motor a "carbed 350" doesn't mean anything. I know plenty of "carbed 350s with a cam" that would absolutely rape my LT1 car, which runs low 13s spinning it's *** off. If he has some good tires on that car there's no reason it wouldn't run a 13.5 with a good launch.

The best I see these cars running at my local track is mid-high 14s.

I ran a 13.7 in mine on the first and only run I ever did with it

You have your opinion, I have mine. Not knocking his car...I just don't see it beating a 300C, and apparently I'm not alone in that assessment.

You definitely have a chance! Not to take anything away from the 300C, but I would say you could run high 13's on that setup.

id say you have a chance...especially with the 4.10s..

everyone says they arent knocking the 300c..ok i will...they are overrated...

its basically a 5.7 charger if im not mistaken..which will get dusted by a grand am gxp, which is fwd btw...if you dont believe it go on ls1tech.com and look at the threads on it...13.6 from the factory.

if you cant tell already i cant stand any chrsyler product. pieces of **** if you ask me..and the whole "Hemi" thing is just a nostalgia thing (that never went anywhere when it came out) for backhome Joe Dirt mothers...but everyone has their opinion...

how much you weigh? that could be the difference...with the 700r4's low gears and those 4.10 you should be in the mid-high 13s

You've got him man. If that thing will run a high 13, I would think your setup would get you into the mid 13's.

he posted the results in the street racing forum, he won 3 times from a dig, and lost twice from a roll.

Here's what I posted on the racing forms ~>

Guys...It's been done. F**K! its FAST!, however I did beat it 3 times out of 5. I'm serious, that car is a F'ING racing machine! I taped all the vids, I don't know how to upload them to a computer though. I drove that car on the free way and it cought 100 in about 5-6 seconds, I mean incredibly FAST. Only way I took it was off the line then I was pretty much gone, by MYABE 1! car length, We did 5 races 3 like normal drag 1/2 mile races, I won all those. Then, we were rolling at 20, and SHE f'ing SMOKED ME. It was embarrsing. But I mean I give her car loads of credit, you guys were right that car weighs a TON, (5400LBS!) I did a few burn outs, that car chirps those tires pretty quick I'll tell you that. But let me tell you guys this..I wouldn't race one enless you had a pretty quick 1/2 mile car. don't even try on the freeway you'll make yourself look like an idiot. haha. Good race though!
