what cover are you using?

Apparently a cheapo cover flexes and the cam can still walk forward. that can be fixed with a reinforced cover or a waterpump that has provisions to run a bolt to keep the cover from flexing.

The lengths of the two buttons are different. You have to pick the one you need for your timing cover.

The wear plate isn't necessary.

the aluminum one by comp is good. ~$90. See if you can find that one.

Well if you believe the picture, that cover comes with the button already.

If that was a stock cover, it would take the long button. A stock cover with a single flat recessed portion would take the short one.

If you plan on spinning over 6k then worry about all that

if not get a cheap cam button that you custom fit and grind it down untill you can put the cover on and it barely touches then the gasket will give you the clearence you need.

Agian this is for under 6k where the can will not walk as much.

over 6k you will need to get a better cover
