oil on top of intake

I had a local shop install some stuff for me, I provided all the hardware. A Edelbrock performer intake and performer carb with fel pro gaskets. For some reason in certain spots a little bit of oil sits on top of the intake, near the edges. I'm not sure why, but I'm sure they sealed it properly. They won't do anything about it because I provided all the hardware, including the bolts for the intake. Can anyone think why oil would be sitting in little pockets on the intake after running the engine for a bit?

Sounds like they didn't put thread sealer on the bolt threads.

That's something you can take care of quickly and easily. Just pop them out, one at a time, and put a drop of some sort of thread sealer on them, and put them back in. I'd suggest the Permatex / Loctite automotive pipe thread sealer stuff, I can't recall the part # for it, but you can find it in the sealer section at most any parts store.

yea, my motors have been really bad for oil seeping up the bolts.

I have used everything from thread sealer (loctite 572/592) to silicone and they always end up leaking again.
