roller to flat tappet cam change?

roller to flat tappet cam change?

I have a 91 z28 with a 305 tpi,will I beable to keep the computer and everything else on the motor if I change the cam set up to a flat tappet cam istead of the roller cam and will the push rods from the roller fit the tappet?

Transmission: T-5
Axle/Gears: crappy 3.08 open rear
why would you want to go from roller to flat tappett? if you stay roller all you have to buy is a cam, you can get a used lt4 hot cam for about $100 plus there is not as much of a headache with roller, no lobes rolling off. if you go with a big cam you will have to change valve springs, mabey work the heads, and yes to computer tuning will need to be done.

okay,,whats a good roller cam to get for a 305 with good pulling power from idle to redline and somewhat of a rough idle(I like the sound)?and the specs on the cam and where to buy?
