The trunk motor won't engage.

I noticed today that when I went to close my trunk the motor didn't work at all, no noise. I'm thinking the motor is shot. I know the fuse isn't blown b/c the button that opens the trunk still works. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Most likely it's the motor. I had the same problem except the motor on my car still ran. Turned out the plastic gear beside the motor was chewed up so I replaced it. The motor is seperate from the gear, so I'm geussing all you need is a motor.

Well I was messing around with it and suddenly the motor engaged again. What happened was the wire that came from the sending unit was loose. So with a little duct tape I was able to keep it in place and keep it from shaking loose. Thanks for the advice though.
