You should get a stronger rear end. It would be a shame to have to hold back on a combo like that just because you were afraid to grenade the rear. Rock on dude!

yeah last year at 11.5:1 it would blow the tires off at like a 30mph stab. now i have 12.5:1 on a decked block, sooooo maybe a smidge closer to 13??? id like to just order a moser, or strange rear with gear set that some would just laugh at or criticize for the fuel economy it would get. but honostly i dont care, i love burnouts to death, thats what i built the car for haha

If you have the time and money to build a combo like that, who the hell cares about gas mileage? I take it you just want a combo to beat the hell out of. Its your car.... do what you want!

I was in a similar situation with a race motor that i bought. My problem was that I was trying to get it to run on pump gas. I never did and ended up trading the engine for a built 355 and new 700r built to handle 500 hp. I wanted a bad street machine that could pull up to the pump. I'm almost there.
If you live at home with mom and dad, do what you can do now, because before long you won't be able to sink that kind of cash into an "old" car. (I hope I don't get ripped too hard for that one!)
