CVR Starter issues, need help!!

I have a brand new CVR mini starter and it will only start once after I tap it with a rubber hammer. I hace taken the plunger out and made sure the contacts are fine and all looks good. Is there any thing I am missing? Gear retracts after the the motor starts so thats not sticking. I don't know what else to do besides get a new starter!

I'd say you're on the right path with the new starter idea. The solenoid/bendix isn't doing it's thing when you apply juice to the "start" terminal.

Only other thing I could suggest before you blame the starter is to apply 12V to that "start" terminal via a known-good source (wire straight from the battery). If your ignition swtich and related wiring isn's supplying adequate juice to the "start" terminal the solenoid/bendix won't engage and, obviously, it'll never activate the electric motor to turn the engine over.

The solenoid/bendix must fully engage the starter's spur gear onto the ring gear of the flywheel/flexplate before voltage is sent down to the electric motor to spin the engine over. One must happen before the other.
