Iroc distributor fit on a 90 vette?

I've been building a engine for my Iroc for a while now, and I just got to the point where the distributor is going in. The block is a 4 bolt out of a 90 vette and I can't seem to get it to sit flush with the top on the intake manifold. It sits about a quarter inch above it and I was just wondering if I need a new bottom gear for it or a new dist all together. I have the non HEI dist from a LB9...Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Car: Yes
Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
It's not sitting down onto the oil pump drive shaft properly. Get that lined up, and it will work fine.
