It's a 5.0 liter (305 ci) block. Good or bad is up to you - personally I like my 350 better than my 305 - but it's all about what makes you happy, and not me or anyone else.

I have had both powerplants, and I find that the 350 is a bit more friendly to me. I get great gas mileage around town...about 19 and 25 on the highway, but then again I have 2.77 gears. You'll be able to find more stuff cheaper for the 350, too.

L69 is argueably the best 305 ever though, so don't compare it to a lame LG4 or TBI motor.
It's even better than a lame truck smogger 350, and so, better then most basic stock 350s out there.
Keep it, until it dies, or until you have the money to build up a proper 350.

Re: have a question
I definatly agree with Sonix. The guy that owned my car before I bought it blew up his 305 and slapped in a 350 from a truck and its slower on the top end than stock.

Re: have a question
oops, my bad, I assumed that block would be attached to the rest of the L69 motor - making it a tasty 305. If we're only talking about the block, then yea, same stuff different pile.
Then again, something may have happened since then, this was posted in November eh?

IIRC, matt(the guy with the crazy fast 305) uses a LG4 block..
