Where to mount A1000 pump

Looking under the car I cant seem to find a good place to mount this. I dont think I would trust sheetmetal screws, it needs to be as close to the tank as possible right?

Car: Yes
Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
Take out the back seat and lift the carpet; use bolts and nuts through the body behind the seat cushion.

I have some pics of where I mounted mine. IIRC, I have posted these before. If the server will allow me to re-post them, I will.

I was able to find 3 pics. Mine is mounted against the spare tire well. You can mount the pre-filter, and the out filter directly to the pump, but it depends on how close your exhaust system is to it. Just to be safe, I mounted my out filter to the side of the hatch bottom. It just needed some extra fuel line to do it, but, IMO, its way safer, and far from the exhaust system. You can reach in the spare tire well, and use nuts, and lock washers if you wish. This is what I did.

You are correct. As close, and lower than than the fuel tank. This is explained in the instructions.

Be sure to buy the correct "O" rings from Aeroquip. Regular "rubber" rings will not cut it. You will need them for the the pump, and filter fittings. the rest of the lines will use regular AN fittings.

Make sure you use the line sizes that Aeromotive recommends.

Is this a carb, or EFI application? If EFI, I have some important info for you.

You're welcome. I was just asking, because, if it were a TPI, the factory rails would have to be addressed, or you would have too high of a fuel PSI.

I was going to use the stealth ram so I couldnt use the stock rails anyway, but by any chance do you know if they would be ok for 650hp? Also it looks like I may have screwed up, I want to run E85 in the future and Ive heard the A1000 wont hold up to ethanol.

Its really not the rails, but, the factory lines, and regulator. There is a "sharp" bend in the factory lines, as it comes off the factory regulator. This bend is sharp enough to restrict the fuel to raise your fuel pressure. I removed all the factory junk from my rails, welded the holes shut, and ran some -06 AN fittings from each end of the rails. Then I also used the Aeromotive regulator. I set up the whole system to run like this.
