swapping to 9" means shorter driveshaft?

When swapping to a 9" would the driveshaft need to be shortened or will I get away with my factory length one? I know I'll need a conversion u-joint at least if I keep my factory length custom aluminum one.

Depends what yoke is on the 9". Some yokes are longer than others.
