head help for roller cam

head help for roller cam

i just bought a roller cam and lifters for my 355. can i put dart iron eagle heads on it if its a roller? or would i have to buy the new style heads? thanks seth

first off, roller is only the cam and lifters.. you can put any sbc head on any sbc regardless of the cam style.. you should get the recommended springs for the cam though.. or if the recommended springs are close to the ones you have now(preferably stiffer), then its all good.. if you do reuse the springs, make sure it can handle the lift.. and check your pushrod length, you might need different length ones..
