TPI is a multi port fuel injection, thats the biggest difference. In my opinion, it wouldnt be worth it. Have to have new intake manifold, tpi setup, i think a different fuel pump, the new wiring harness and computer. And im sure there some other things that im missing but thats the majority

Car: 91 RS
Engine: 350 vortec
Transmission: T-5
Axle/Gears: not the best not the worst
if you have tbi stick with it if you have tpi stick with it...each has its own drawbacks as tpi sorta falls on its face past 4500 but makes more torque than tbi but i notice my tbi is pulling past 5500 while my bros tpi is in need of a shift

With all the time and money it would take, its just not worth it, it may be a little faster but not enough to justify all the work and money. Spend the money on other modifications to your TBI and youll see better results.

...or just bypass all the crap and get a Holley Stealth Ram setup...it's kinda like TPI but with all the shortcomings fixed...it will make that 305 feel like a BEAST!

it's about $2,200 or so last time i checked but thats for EVERYTHING...ECU, wiring, intake, injectors, EVERYTHING...it is DEFINITELY worth it!

^and all of that is a waste with the stock LO3 heads. This is coming from someone who owns a LO3, and has swapped the intake several times.

you would still see a performance increase...you could upgrade heads later...some guys have to do it one piece at a time...
