I have a 35o outa a 72 camaro Hi flow oil pump, lunuti cam. ported head edlebrock performer intake and carb. etc etc.. thecar is non cc and i think i may be having oil presusre problems when warm... when cold its fine..
at idle 900 rpm its 0-15 psi
1500 35-40 psi
2000 40-45psi
2500 50 psi
3000 50 psi
anything over 3000 its 60+
these were taken at appz 215 degrese farenheight
The oil has beein in there since before winter. I dont drive the car IE not registerd so im not changing it till i do.. could that be the problem,

Those readings are when warm, or cold?
It seems ok, little low at idle though. A high flow pump should kick up your pressure across the board, and it seems like it has, except for at idle. Everywhere else it's high.
What viscosity of oil? What brand also?
Are you using the normal pressure spring, or the high pressure one? (just a side question...)
Did you build the motor, and know the clearances, or...?
Any oiling modifications? Standoffs in lifter valley, drilled holes in timing chain area plugs?

the general rule of thumb is 10psi per 1000rpm
You are definately fine, even on my new build with a stock replacement oil pump it only sees around 10-15psi @ 6-700rpm idle

to answer the questions i did not build the motor a friend did.. I have a mechanical gauge hooked to the port behind the dist.. i think it has 5 30 in it bought it with fresh oil... he said that it was built with all performance parts... the oil pan isnt the stock one either... also this just started o happen the other day... im goning to change the oil check for silver tint if not juist gunna put new oil in it.. hook up another gauge up front and see whats goin on... any more tips pulling the valve covers? the car has headers so it loud i doubt ill be able to hear a ticking noise or whaty not..
