does anyone know what the compressed thickness is of the stock replacement blue fel pro head gaskets ?

need to know, as it will help me decide whether to mill the 4416 heads or wait til i can find a set of L69(or 85 up LG4) pistons from someone

You can use the thin .015" 350 steel gasket to raise the cr on a 305.
The bore size is 4.10" It is 3.2cc. Don't know if there is a 305
version. felpro #1094

yeah it doesnt look like they make any thin shims for the 305 bore

this engine still has its original steel shim gaskets,

if i were to replace them with even blue felpros then it would lessen the CR right then

my best bet would be to put in flat top pistons, or to do nothing and just leave it alone

and it looks like im just going to leave it alone,

and save myself time $ and headache at this point, since it runs good and no smoke or leaks and i only gave 200 for it fully dressed and all, so i cant complain at all

i can find a better/bigger engine at a later date

thanks!
